“The kind of guy you bring home to the crazy bin.”

When David W. Logsdon, 51, didn’t get the private security license he wanted, authorities suspected his next move was to “cause havoc.” Logsdon shot multiple people, killing two, before he was finally killed by cops in the mall. As fully quoted by the Kansas City, Missouri police chief James Corwin:

David Logsdon had a plan. And that plan was that he had been an employee of that Target store and had been turned down for a private security license. His objective was to go to the mall and cause havoc.

It was unclear as to when he was turned down but he did have two outstanding warrants which didn’t help in his favor to obtaining the job. Logsdon’s sister, Kathryn Cagg claimed her brother was an alcoholic and mentally ill. As she was quoted in saying to the families:

When a tragedy like this occurs, we want to understand the reasons. There is no way to understand this senseless act and so we must, we must turn it over to God.

The ol’ leave it to God bit. Unoriginal. She might have been better off saying:

He was a retarded loser. I sure as hell wasn’t going to play Monopoly with him at noon. I’m sorry.

The bomb squad had to be called in at Logsdon’s home after reports of a home made bomb. In the end it turned out to be a propane tank with boxes surrounding it. Punch line not even needed.
