The Pope “pimped his ride” after a private screening of “The Bubble Boy”

A deranged German tried his hand at hitching a ride on the Popemobile as Benedict was making his way through a crowd earlier today:

A 27-year-old German man described by the Vatican as “clearly deranged” leaped over a barricade on Wednesday and tried to jump on to Pope Benedict’s open-topped jeep.

As a practicing Catholic I’ve always disliked the name “Popemobile,” simply because it’s a substandard title for the Vicar of Christ’s means of transportation. “Popemobile” sounds like something that should be covered in neon lightbulbs in a Vegas procession flanked by midgets on Segways.
