On July 6th, teacher Dave Barclay, had already arrived from his home in Canada to London for his buddy’s, Dave Best, wedding only to find out he was a year early.  In his defense, Barclay said:

He just said July the 6th and I assumed it was this year because if you tell the guy July 6th, they’re going to think it’s this year.

Barclay added that this faux pa has now assured him a mention in the wedding speech next year. He is also $1,015 poorer.  Guess that’s price you have to pay for being Canadian.
