“Plan your stroke for the weekday and SAVE!! (you life)!”

Recent Canadian doctors have recently discovered that if you have your stroke during the weekend, you have a 14% increase of dying as opposed to the weekday. The research team was led by Dr Gustavo Saposnik assistant professor of medicine and director of the Stroke Research Unit Division of Neurology at the University of Toronto with the help of a staff neurologist at St. Michael’s Hospital in Toronto. Does this mean you should wait for the weekday to schedule your trip to the doctor after your life threatening stroke? Dr Larry Goldstein, chair of the Stroke Council of the American Heart Association, said:

Although the differences in weekend admission found in this study may be real, the potential benefits of obtaining early treatment would well outweigh the risk of waiting.

So the weekend staff may suck, this study is worthless because the medicine needed to bust a clot for a stroke requires to be administered within three hours.

Thank you Canadian doctors, you’ve wasted thousands of dollars on research that common sense could have answered. Like all businesses, the weekend staff always sucks.
