As much as I wanted to ignore this whole American Idol thing, I just can’t anymore. This is beyond humiliating. Contestant Sanjaya Malakar and his hair survived yet another week on American Idol. Meanwhile all the talented people keep getting kicked off, like rocker-contestant Gina Glocksen, who was given the boot this past week. She had this to say about her loss:

“At the end of the day, you just don’t know what America wants. You don’t know if it’s based on talent, personality, if you have exactly what they’re looking for in your style, your hair, your clothes. But you just have to stay true to yourself and make sure that you stay focused on what you’re there for, and that’s vocal talent. “

Well then America is obviously a bunch of dumb, deaf and blind people if they actually think that Sanjaya is better than Gina. If this show isn’t based on talent anymore, then it can’t possibly be looks. Am I the only one who thinks that Sanjaya looks like a gender-confused, pre-pubescent little girl? And personality? Come on, this kid giggles at everything. Simon could probably throw rocks at him scribbled with the words “you suck” on them and Sanjaya would just giggle and twirl his hair.
